How to make 1 m cuso4 solution

Making chemical solutions

Calculate the volume of the on-hand solution that needs to be added to the final solution.Use Formula V to determine the amount of stock solution that needs to be diluted1C.1= V2C.2; V.1is the volume of the on-hand solution and C1is the concentration of the stock solution; V.2is the desired final volume and C2is the desired final concentration of the solution.[9]
  • Example: Make 75 ml of a 1.5 M NaCl solution from a supply of 5 M.
  • In order to calculate the required volume of the available solution, the equation must be rearranged to use V1 to solve: V1 = (V2C.2) / C1
  • V.1 = (V2C.2) / C1 = (0.075 l * 1.5 M) / 5M = 0.0225 l.
  • Convert the l to ml by multiplying by 1000: 22.5 ml.
