Netflix starts gigantic film offensive - the complete overview of all new starts in 2021

The streaming service Netflix is getting really serious in 2021 and has big plans - especially in the film sector. The complete timetable for the new year has now been published. CHIP presents the films.

The year 2020 was a difficult one because of the corona crisis - for many people, but also for industries. While the cinema experienced its decline due to the lockdown, the modern counterpart for the small screen flourished: streaming. New platforms such as Disney + have been launched in this country and all in all, the providers were happy about the sharp increase in access numbers - hardly any cinema, a lot of boredom. Things also went really smoothly at Netflix, for example the new series "Bridgerton" was only recently launched, which immediately became one of the most successful originals ever. Previously, "The Queen's Gambit", the surprise hit of the year, fueled the hype around Netflix.

It should continue in the same way in 2021. With series, of course, but this year the streaming giant is particularly focusing on films. And in addition, Netflix has now published a preview of all upcoming productions as well as a complete list, which we present with summary information. Among others, blockbusters like "Red Notice" with the dream cast consisting of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson ("Fast & Furious 8"), Gal Gadot ("Wonder Woman") and Ryan Reynolds ("Deadpool") as well as sequels too popular hits like "The Kissing Booth 3".

Other stars who will flicker exclusively on Netflix this year on the TV screens: Leonardo DiCaprio ("The Revenant"), Jennifer Lawrence ("The Hunger Games"), Jason Momoa ("Aquaman"), Halle Berry ("John Wick: Chapter 3 "), Chris Hemsworth (" Thor "), John David Washington (" Tenet ") and so many more.
