Peap mschapv2 how it works

debianforum.de

Good Morning all,

I actually thought that setting up a wireless connection would be a bit easier.
I am using the current Debian version 9.5.0 without the NetworkManager.

I have already set up a simple WPA2 connection with an SSID and PSK. It was relatively easy
sudo nano / etc / network / interfaces

Code: Select all

sudo nano /etc/resolv.conf However, I don't get along with the WPA2 Enterprise (AES PEAP MSCHAPV2). The connection is established without a certificate but with a user and password. I have now adjusted the following.
sudo nano / etc / network / interfaces

Code: Select all

sudo nano /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf (PS. This file did not exist. I created it myself in the existing directory.)

Code: Select all

when I restart my adapter I immediately get the following message. ifdown: interface wlp2s0 not configured
wpa_supplicant: / sbin / wpa_supplicant daemon failed to start
run-parts: /etc/network/if-pre-up.d/wpasupplicant exited with return code 1
ifup: failed to bring up wlp2s0

Am I doing something wrong here or have I forgotten something?
