How to Fix Odbcji32.dll Cannot Load

Hotline blog: Office Manager DMS

This only affects archive databases in Access format (file extension .omp).

In addition to the above Error appears when exiting.

Occurs since the Office update

The last MS Office update (December 2015) installed an incompatible Access driver or unregistered the driver. Inquiries about this are currently increasing and in some forums this message is also reported in other programs with Access databases. Please let us know if this problem cannot be easily resolved with the following instructions.

A 32-bit Office Manager is always affected when MS Office 32-bit has been updated, and the 64-bit Office Manager with 64-bit MS Office.

The repair function of MS Office does not fix the problem.

Please reinstall the Access driver

Select Help | from the Office Manager menu Info. In the upper block, behind Version, you will find information about which edition (32 or 64 bit) you are currently using.

Then determine whether you are also using a corresponding output from MS Office (e.g. Word menu File | Account, click on the button About Word.

If both programs - Office Manager DMS and Microsoft Office - are used in the same bit edition, please repair or install the appropriate Access driver:

Repair

This will usually only be the case with 64-bit applications. Please open Control Panel | System | Apps & features. Is there "Microsoft Access database engine 2010" available there? If so, then highlight this entry, click Change and carry out the repair.

install drivers

This step was previously not necessary with the 32-bit Office Manager, but must be carried out after the MS Office update.

Please load the appropriate Access driver.

  • For Office Manager DMS in 32 bit you need "AccessDatabaseEngine.exe",
  • for Office Manager DMS in 64 bit "AccessDatabaseEngine_X64.exe":

Use Office Manager in a different bit output

As an alternative to installing the Access driver, you can also try the Office Manager with a different bit output. You can install both editions in parallel.

Select Help | from the Office Manager menu Info. In the upper block, behind Version, you will find information about which edition (32 or 64 bit) you are currently using.

»Install the 64-bit version
