10 beautiful hot springs in Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA, is one of the most geothermically active areas on the planet. Half of the world's geothermal features are located here. The park covers an area of nearly 9,000 square kilometers, includes 10,000 geysers, hot springs, mud holes and fumaroles, thanks to its location in an old active caldera. Yellowstone itself is a massive super-volcano that erupted with tremendous force several times over the past 2 million years. Lava flows and rocks from volcanic eruptions cover most of Yellowstone's area. The park is at the heart of the larger Yellowstone ecosystem, the largest remaining, nearly intact ecosystem in the northern temperate zone of the world.
